The Community Social Pediatrics Institute also offers community-based training through its CLAN (Children Linked to Adults & Networks) series of training modules designed by H\u00e9l\u00e8ne (Sioui) Trudel, and developed by Laetitia Angba and Caroline Chaumont with the assistance of numerous partners.<\/p>

These training and support modules will enable you to effectively implement the Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/em>, develop a common language, and contribute to building a more just and equitable society.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

  1. Empower and equip children and teens living in difficult conditions through knowledge on human rights, peaceful communication and social entrepreneurship. Participants come to assume their rights and responsibilities through word and action, learning to reflect, express themselves and make themselves heard with the goal of transforming problems into solutions. In short, they learn to be responsible citizens.<\/li>
  2. Build a protective circle around the child who does not have one by activating the special strengths of their family and community, in particular by equipping significant adults in the child\u2019s life. This is achieved through knowledge of human rights, social action and the support of mentor families.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

      Training modules for CHILDREN<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Part of our series of CLAN training program, these training modules are for children ages 9 to 13. We are presently also developing modules for children ages 6 to 8, and for teens ages 14 to 17<\/p>

      This training for CHILDREN consists of 3 modules of 10 sections each. Inspired by Article 12 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child<\/em>, these modules focus on giving children a voice.<\/p>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Peaceful Communicators<\/strong><\/p>

      In this module (E2), the children learn to communicate their needs (rights) and to use their voice in a positive way to send messages aimed at getting their needs (rights) met and resolving conflicts in a peaceful and equitable manner.       Upon completion of this module (E3), children will be ready to assume their role as agents of change.       These modules in the CLAN training program are for parents and adults who seek to build a more just and equitable society by supporting the healthy development of its children and ensuring their fundamental rights are respected.<\/p>

      Adults in Action<\/strong><\/p>\n
