Jaswant Guzder<\/strong>, Director of the Childhood Disorders Day Hospital at the Jewish General Hospital (Montreal), and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at McGill University, shares lessons learned from the Dream a World Cultural Therapy. This multi-modal intervention for resilience promotion in vulnerable children was set up in Jamaica in 2005 through a collaboration between the University of West Indies and McGill University. Targeting 8-year olds who are failing at school and have conduct issues, the objective of the program is to reduce the high rates of school abandonment, violence, HIV and early pregnancy prevalent in the adolescent population. Dr Guzder shows how this project can enrich our own approaches and policies around child health. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
